Jay Axtell says he knows firsthand that life doesn’t stop after 40.
In 2009, through answered prayer to a prophetic word, the doors opened for Jay to start work on a Master of Divinity degree in Messianic Jewish studies at the Van Nuys campus of The King’s University.
The Waxahachie, TX, native, who now attends the main TKU campus in Southlake, TX, says his passion is to see the Jewish people saved and filled with God’s Spirit, leading to a world-wide revival.
“The pattern the Lord has laid out in Scripture is that the Gospel is to go to the Jewish people as a priority and equally to the nations,” he explained. “What would happen if the Church decided to go back to this pattern to prioritize what is first in God’s order instead of trying to fulfill His work by our own plans? I plan to find out!”
Jay has strong words of encouragement to older students who may be considering going back to school.
“One is never too old to follow God’s calling in life,” he exclaimed. “Maybe Spirit-empowered teaching has not been accessible or maybe it was not the right time. The King’s University has made it possible with both online and on-ground classes in the DFW Metroplex to reconnect to His calling.”
“Remember, Jesus opens doors that no one can shut,” he continued. “This may be the open door that you have been waiting for!”
